Since 1887, the Murdick family has handcrafted fudge using time-honored recipes and traditional candy-making techniques. Every batch begins with fresh cream, real butter, and the finest 100% pure Belgian chocolate.
Our candy makers carefully cook each batch in traditional copper kettles before hand-working the warm fudge on marble cooling slabs. This old-fashioned process creates the smooth, creamy texture and rich flavor that has made Murdick’s Famous Fudge a Northern Michigan tradition for generations.
Today, fourth-generation candy maker John Murdick and fifth-generation candy maker Aaron Murdick proudly continue the family tradition in Mackinaw City, preparing every batch with the same attention to quality that began more than 138 years ago.
