For more than 138 years, the Murdick family has handcrafted fudge using the same time-honored recipes and candy-making techniques that have made our name famous. Every batch begins with fresh cream, real butter, and the finest 100% pure Belgian chocolate.
Our candy makers carefully cook each batch in traditional copper kettles before pouring the warm fudge onto marble cooling slabs. Working the fudge by hand creates the smooth, creamy texture and rich flavor that generations of visitors have enjoyed during their trips to Mackinaw City.
Today, fourth-generation candy maker John Murdick and fifth-generation candy maker Aaron Murdick proudly continue the family tradition, preparing every order with the same care and attention to quality that began in 1887.
